JEE Main 2015 Counselling Procedure

In JEE Main 2015 Counselling, candidates would be given the chance tomark options of colleges and course as per their preference for seat allotment and admission process. Thus, those candidates who score marks/rank more than the cutoff will be able to choose their favorite colleges in the counselling round. The process of counseling will be held in the month of July 2015 tentatively. Counselling is a multistep process and involves the following stages (in chronological order):
  • Online registration
  • choice filling
  • choice locking
  • seat allotment
  • payment of fees
  • reporting to the RC
  • reporting to the allotted institute
CSAB would conduct the JEE Main 2015 Counselling cum Seat Allotment process on behalf of CBSE. Through allotment, candidates would be offered admission in NFTIs, SFTIs, NITs, IIITs and other institutes

JEE Main 2015 Counselling – Process

Step 1 – Online Registration

  • Register yourself on the official website of CSAB for counselling process.
  • Spot round registration to begin at the end of last regular counselling round.
  • Provide details such as – personal information, mobile number, address and bank details.
  • Pay the counselling fees through e-challan, debit or credit cards.

Step 2 – Online Choice Filling And Locking

  • Login into your account, created from the above process to begin with choice filling forJEE Main 2015 Counselling.
  • Make your options of colleges and courses online on CSAB website after logging in.
  • Make your options carefully as allotment would be done on the basis of choices entered.
  • Fill as many options as you wish to.
  • Lock your filled choices before the specific deadline set by CSAB.
  • Once locked, candidates cannot alter their choices.
  • Choice filling would be done after each round of JEE Main 2015 Counselling.
  • Candidate can mark upgraded choices in the successive rounds of choice filling and locking process.

Step 3 – Seat Allotment And Document Authentication

  • Seats to candidates would be allotted on the basis of JEE Main 2015 All India Merit Ranks, reservation norms, choice filled, vacancies in courses.
  • There would be multiple rounds of counselling.
  • One being allotted, a candidate must report to RC as per his respective schedule.
  • Candidate must pay the fees to confirm the allotment.
  • They must also get their documents checked by the official.
  • Once the process is completed, candidate would be issued a provisional admission letter.

JEE Main 2015 Counselling – Necessary Documents

  • Character certificate
  • JEE Main 2015 Admit Card
  • Category certificate (If applicable)
  • Copy of the confirmation page
  • Class X & XII certificate
  • JEE Main 2015 Rank Card
  • Migration certificate
  • Recent passport size photographs

Step 4 – Reporting to Allotted Institute

Once documents are verified, fees is paid, candidate must report to the allotted institute in person.

JEE Main 2015 Spot Seat Allotment

  • If there are vacant seats from the round of JEE Main 2015 Counselling, a spot round  will be held by CSAB.
  • If a candidate has already registered for allotment, he need not register again on the official website of CSAB.
  • Candidates having fresh registration have to register, fill in the choices, pay the specified fees and lock choices for allotment.
  • JEE Main 2015 Spot round will offer admissions in NITs, CFTIs and IIITs (Govt.) and SFTIs (Private Institutes).

JEE Main 2015 Counselling – Important Note

  • Once a seat is rejected in JEE Main 2015 Counselling, no candidate will be allowed to take part in any of the further rounds as well as the spot round.
  • If a candidate is provisionally allotted an institute and he wishes to withdraw his admission, he will not be allowed to take part in further rounds of seat allotment as well as spot round.
